Don't Act Like God

in the movie, " Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam", Ajay Devgan plays the role of an umconventional husban who takes his wife Nandini (Aishwarya Rai) to meet her lover Sameer (Salman Khan). There was a line in the movie when the furious Nandini tells Ajay Devgan, "Why are you actinv like God!". This simple question of Nandini is an answer to the psychology of hating people who are unconventionally good and benevolent. It is often seen that benevolent people who are ready to help everyone often have to go through a phase of criticism and resentment. They are targeted and abused and rumours are spread about them. This phenomenon happens because the extremely good person make other people realize their own sense of vacuum and lack. To hide their own incompetencies people start targeting the person who is innocent and competent. People may admire a larger than life image of a person who is far off like that of a celebrity but they try not to acknowledge the gifted, the talented, the jovial, the kind, the helpful and the hardworking individual in their own lives. Their jealousy and insecurities overpowers them and they try to malign the image of a genuinely good person. So the next time you are being targeted remember these lines of mine: "For being great you will be crucified, They will kill you and call you Christ.
